Will not play on listed device

I am currently trying to use a Spotify playlist on a friend's Sonos when visiting.. the first 3 times as soon as I arrived at their place & the WiFi/broadband connected I was able to look at the list of devices recognised and it would connect. Last night everything went as normal, but nothing happened when I hit the device link?? Even tho it was listed it would not connect. Makes no sense. In the end I logged onto my Spotify thru their phone and connected that way!! Odd.

Equally...after they left, taking their phone and logging me out, the music continued to play...??!!! Very confused.
