Hello everyone!

I know a lot of people are probably just as excited about this as I am. I’ve been creating custom transitions on mobile for a while now, so seeing the feature come to desktop feels like a pretty big upgrade.

One of the things I personally enjoy most about creating mixes is being able to fine-tune transitions between tracks, and desktop makes that a lot easier. Having more screen space, better waveform visibility, and mousewheel zoom make it much easier for me to make precise edits and experiment with transitions in a more detailed way.

If you haven’t tried it already, it’s pretty easy. Just choose one of your playlists and click on the “Mix” button.

> Top tip: you can mix collaborative playlists as well!

The play button will change and auto transitions will show between each song:

You can then click on each transition to customize everything about it: length, volume, EQ, filters, and more.

What I like most is that it still feels easy to use. I like that I can preview changes before saving them, test different transition styles, and adjust curves or timing without permanently changing anything right away. It makes the whole process feel a lot more creative and less stressful.

To make life easier, I also take advantage of the transition “Presets”:

For anyone who already enjoys creating transitions on mobile, I think the desktop version will feel like a natural upgrade, especially if you like more detailed editing and want a better view of your transitions.

I’m curious to see how people get creative mixing their playlists, especially those who already spend a lot of time building playlists and tweaking transitions. Feel free to share your creations below!

Well, I'm not entirely satisfied with the Mix function on the computer. For example, on a mobile device, you can eliminate the silence between one track and the next. The track ends abruptly, and the next one starts immediately from the beginning, without any gap. This is only possible on a mobile device. Try it on a computer. You can't achieve a clean transition. You can implement countless blending and cutting effects, etc., but no matter how much you configure it, something as simple as zero seconds of transition between tracks is only possible on a mobile device. This is a serious flaw, in my opinion, and since I understand the function is in beta, it will be corrected immediately.
