My Question or Issue

Since a few weeks when I listen to spotify on my Iphone (7) with my original Iphone earphones, the music pauses and continues after a few seconds and the music is faltering. This happens also to songs which are downloaded on my Iphone. It is really annoying, to listen to music that stops and continues and that is faltering. What can I do about it, so I can enjoy my music?

Hey @LD19.

Just to confirm, does the same happen if you use a different audio output, like your phone's speakers or a different pair of earphones?

In the meantime, try reinstalling Spotify to see if t helps.

I only noticed it with the Iphone headset. I never noticed it with the Iphone speaker of with a bluetooth headset.

With the Iphone headset, the music pauses for 2 seconds (so it's not like the sound is muted and the music plays on, the music really stops) and continues, and then the faltering begins.

At first I thought the headset had a damaged cable, but when I listen to music from the music on the phone of via youtube it doesn't happen.

I tried to re-install spotify, but it didn't solve the problem.

Thanks for getting back to us with this info.

That's odd. If your headset has a pause button, make sure it's not being pressed by mistake, it could happen if for example, you're exercising and the cable is rocking back and forth.

To further check if there's something wrong with the iPhone headset, try plugging it in to a different device, and use your same Spotify account with it.
