Open in Spotify button does not launch app!

My Question or Issue

When I click Open on Spotify on any web browser I get directed to the App Store. This button use to launch the app. I am updated and currently using an iPhone 7 Plus iOS 11.4 and have tried multiple different browsers.

Have the same problem. iPhone 7+

1. Opened playlist link from reddit, takes me to the web player. Ok, fine.

2. Tap “play on spotify”

3. Takes me to some App Store link with no option to open in Spotify.

SEE SCREENSHOTS. Fix this garbage Spotify.

Hey,

Try opening the link in Safari (press on the three dots in the right corner and then on Open in Safari).

I have the same issue.

It's an Apple iOS "universal link" problem added with iOS9, or Spotify could simplify the linking so it ignore "universal link".

Clicking on a spotify link on, say the NYTIMES pop list, link saying something like "open this playlist on Spotify") takes me to the App Store. I already have Spotify on my phone. Stoopid & really boring.

Why is this still an issue when we can put cats on the moon??
