My Question or Issue

When listening to music, if I open my iMessages app the volume lowers a bit (sort of like how navigation apps reduce the volume when they’re about to speak). It comes right back up as soon as I leave the app.

This behavior just started happening this week, and as far as I know I haven’t changed any setting (equalizers, etc).

Hey, thanks for reaching out.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstallation of the app. Just follow the steps here. Check if you aren't overviewing any video as it might do that automatically so you can focus on the content you are looking at the moment 🙂

If you do have any pending updates just go ahead and complete them.
