Why is Spotify hijacking my playlist?

Today I tried playing some playlists on my iPhone. "Autoplay" and "Waze Navigation" are off and there's 14 songs. I had to make a playlist because I also couldn't pick a particular album when searching in a particular artist but that's beside the point. I started the list and about halfway through some foreign pop songs started up with a note from Spotify saying they added to my list. To me, a play list should be a list of what I want to play. nothing more. Why is Spotify doing this?

Hi, thanks for posting your question! One of the limitations of Spotify free on mobile is that most playlists can only be played in shuffle mode and that Spotify adds suggested tracks with the "we added" label you mentioned.

That said, there are certain playlists that can be played without shuffling in the "Made for you" section of home. Please see this page for more details on Spotify free on mobile features and limitations as well as a list of FAQs you may find helpful.
