Syncing Local File playlist from Mac to iPhone?

Devices: Macbook Air early 2015 Sierra, iPhone 7+ iOS 11.3

I'm trying to sync an album I own as a local file on my Mac, on to my iPhone 7+.

The instructions to do this suggest I need to create a playlist with these local files on the Spotify app on my Mac, and toggle the 'Download' bar on both desktop and the iOS app, and then the files should sync onto my iPhone.

I've done this but unfortunately the songs won't appear in my playlist my iOS app.

The album in question isn't on Spotify. Is this why it won't sync over?

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps. I'd also recommend using another network connection, make sure they are connected to the same network as well. Here's is a FAQ about Local Files 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
