Yesterday the new update came out.

I read on a site that the update is available for free/premium users all around the world.

My friends all have it, except me.. I have tried redownloading spotify, or restarting my phone, searching for new updates but nothing works? What am I not thinking of?

The update is rolling globally to all Spotify users so it should reach out to you too but not as soon as it might reach others. Just be patient and keepy enjoying your favorite music!
