iOS 12.1 No sounds

My Question or Issue

When using Spotify from my phone...there is no sound even though it says it’s playing. I’ve turned off Bluetooth so it’s not playing somewhere else...

when I use Spotify on my computer - headphones (not wireless) it’s fine.

...and I’ve also tried restarting it twice...no change.

Are you able to hear audio from any other app on your phone or is it just Spotify that is silent?

The volume works on all other apps. It’s just the Spotify app that I cannot hear any volume.

When you download the new version of iOS it disables audio for uncompatible apps, Thus being spotify, Apple disabled the audio for a real one.
