My Question or Issue

Hi,

I've recently changed over my Apple handset from an iPhone 8 to an iphone XR.

After signing back in to Spotify (on my new handset), I can see that I have all my playlists availbale to me (the exact same ones as on my desktop version of Spotify), however, some of the playlists, when I click into them on my handset, are completly empty.

The desktop version shows me that all playlists have songs in them - inlcuding the ones i'm trying to view on my mobile. I've deleted Spotify from my mobile; signed back in and re-downloaded my library - there still appears to be playlists on my handset without any songs.

In the top right hand corner of the playlist, I have clicked the 'download' button, but nothing appears to happen and the 'want to add songs to this playlist' continues to appear.

There was a previous thread that said I should make both the mobile and desktop 'offline' for a few minutes, then back 'online' to start the sync process - this didn't work for me.

I would also like help with this because I am having the same problem and have logged out/back in, uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted my device, etc... and am not having any luck. (Sorry this isn't helpful—I'm just also looking for a response)

Hi,

I managed to fix the issue:

Essentially, the playlists are empty because, in my case, the music hadn’t been downloaded to each of the individual playlists.

- Go into the empty playlist
- Click the 3 dots in the top right hand corner
- Click the ‘download’ button
- Playlist should then start to download/populate

Why Spotify desktop doesn’t sync the information to iPhone I’m not sure. You will have to repeat the above process for each of the empty playlists (and have a little patience whilst everything downloads).
