App update problem on ipad

My Question or Issue

I get an error message on updating the app "App cannot complete downloading update"(see pics). Keeps asking me to retry but repeats with same error message. Tried deleting the ap but that doesn't work either. App icon is in a loading zombie state. (see pics). I tried to download the update manually from App Store but get the same problem.

Would appreciate any help.

According to this support page, you meet the requirements device and OS wise. Can you double check if you have at least 250 MB of free space on your iPad?

Thanks for your reply. I sorted this out by contacting Apple. All it took was a cold restart on the iPad.
