Offline podcasts

Hi, I've got a problem with downloading podcasts episodes. It's just not working but I do not have any issues w/ downloading music or playlists.
I got 26GB of free space

I too have this issue. iPhone XS, iOS 12, have redownloaded, restarted, online > offline > online, etc. Podcasts continuously buffer, starting and stopping every 3-5 minutes, even though I'm on a solid Wi-Fi connection. Songs download just fine in a second, podcasts give me the green spinning wheel and never download.

*Edit: I've noticed that downloading is just an issue for one podcast in particular. If I switch to another podcast that I listen to, I'm able to download the hour+ long episodes in just a few seconds. Could have to do with the episodes of the other being 4-6 hours, but I think I tried some newer episodes that were shorter to no avail...
