Trouble with Spotify connect on Yamaha.

My Question or Issue

Try to connect to my Yamaha RX-V681 with Spotify connect but can’t find it in the Device menu.

it works only with airplay

Note that I have 3 devices - 1 andoid, 1 iPhone x on latest iOS, and 1 iPhone SE on older iOS. Only the iPhone X cannot see the Yamaha via Spotify Connect. So there is some bug on the iPhone X or latest iOS version causing this issue. I spent hours fiddling with network settings on all devices. What a waste of time. Note I also have issues setting up an Airport Express with the iPhone. Definitely a bug.
