Spotify is draining my 4g data.

My Question

Spotify is draining all my data. I havent changed anything in how I use Spotify, but suddently i got a text from my operator that i have i used all my data.

I had not reset my data usage so i was not sure which app that was the problem, But i guess Spotify used around 8-9GB in 24 hours (probably around 1-2hours of using Spotify).

So i reset my data usage on my phone and added a new package, after around 15-30min of Spotify usage it had used around 4,6GB.

I have now deleted the app and reinnstalled it as well as rebooting the phone. After that i reset the statistics and opened the app and searched for a song (i did not Play any song or Do anything else), i checked the statistics again and it had used 8,6mb just for the search.

Can someone please help me to solve this problem?

I'm sorry to hear that!

Could you try going into Settings > Playback and disable Canvas? Then head over to Music Quality in Settings and set the Streaming Quality to low and scroll down to the bottom there to make sure Download using mobile data is off.

You can also enable the Data Saver in Settings.

I'd also recommend upating to iOS 13.
