Next/Skip Song Bug

My Question or Issue

When I press next to skip a song it restarts that song instead. The song name changes but the album art will not. The song time/progress are blank. Pressing skip a second time shifts the song name again and the album art catches up but it plays the song it should have the first time, song progess stays blank pressing next more continues the "shift".

Eventually next becomes grayed out, like it should've gone to a radio station based on what I was listening to but it just stops playing.

I have used spotify for years on my iPhone 7 without seeing this issue, that phone was not updated to ios 13 prior to upgrading to the 11 Pro.

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Could you also try ipdating to iOS 13.1.2?

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
