Playback Device Keeps Switching

My Issue

Randomly while listening on my phone the audio just switches to playing in my pc. This is happening even when of of the same WiFi. I'll be walking down the street and the music will stop, when I go to look at why its because it's playing on my pc at home.

Please note that you can stream online at one device at a time, not more.

If you want that consider Premium for Family.

Is anyone at your home using the PC or playing music through your account?

This it not at all helpful. I don't want it switching devices. It just does it on its own. And nobody else even touches my pc.

Hey @draco_claw,

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Also, could you try using Sign Out Everywhere and Remove Offline Devices from your Spotify account page?

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

Okay, ive restarted the device after reinstalling the app. It's ios 13 app version 8.5.26.893 ive done this is the past to try and fix it but it hasnt worked. I signed out everywhere and signed back in on the phone as well as pc. lets hope this helps, but its kinda hard to test something that is random. and like i said it hasnt worked in the past.

Wow. What timing. The issue seemed to have been resolved, but then it started again yesterday. I tried the solution here but it’s still happening
