My Question or Issue

Spotify will randomly pause songs while listening. Recently started happening after updating to iOS 13.1.2, but hasn't stopped since I updated again.

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

I'd also suggest updating to iOS 13.2 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'll see what I can suggest next!

Restarting and reinstalling Spotify did not resolve the issue.

Spotify Version: 8.5.30.635

iOS Version: 13.2

I have this all the time, and really tired of it. Having friends over, put some music on, then long periods of no-music, and just plain disconnecting. I happen also to have access to iTunes, and I switch to that and I have “none” of these problems (but I want to use Spotify). Some wanky argument between Spotify and Apple means we get poor service.
