My Spotify is Posessed

My Question or Issue

For the past half hour, my Spotify will not play on my iPhone to my google assistant, I can click on a song, it will skip 3-4 songs down the line and then "play" but no sound is coming out even though it is connected to my google assistant.

First off, do you mind trying a quick reinstall of the app? This can resolve many of the most common issues users experience.

If that doesn't work, could you provide us with the exact steps that you're carrying out which lead to the issue?

If it's possible to send us a screen recording showing what's happening, that would be really useful.
