Spotify music should stop while using other apps

My Question or Issue

hi there,

I just recently switched from android to iOS (from galaxy s8 to iPhone XR). When I was listening to Spotify with my old phone Spotify automatically turned off while I was starting other apps with music, eg watching videos on Instagram. As soon as I stopped the other apps, Spotify automatically turned on again. This is not possible with my iPhone. Solpotify keeps playing while I use other apps and therefore I always have to manually stop Spotify before turning on other apps. This is super annoying. Is there any solution to fix this ?

Let's take a look at what's going on.

First, could you try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps? Also, let me know if this happens with certain apps or any app you use when Spotify is playing.

Could I also get the iOS version for your iPhone XR (you can check by going to Settings > General > About) and make sure the app is up to date.
