How can I stream on my LTE Apple Watch?

I have a subscription and like my friends who have Garmin and Android wear they can stream while running with only their watch.

When I start to it says I need the phone? Why is this? Why can't I stream like other music services over LTE that's what I'm paying for?

Hey @VoidStarfire, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Apple Watch will need the iPhone near it since the iPhone will need to be paired with your Apple Watch with Bluetooth. If you're away from your iPhone, you won't be able to use Spotify on your watch until you get near it again.

If this is a feature you would like to see in the future, you can always create a new Idea here. I completely understand your concern too since I have an Apple Watch as well, and I will pass your feedback to the right folks.

We have wanted this since 2018, and Apple Watch still has the largest market share in smart watches!

Yeah I just ended my subscription with Spotify. It's ridicules they can't make streaming work on the watch with the largest market share. I know several other's who've done the same and shifted to Apple Music.
