Will I get logged out everywhere if I change my password on my account?

Hi, I want to change my password on my account but im worried it will log me out on my devices, I especially dont want to lose all my local files that i have synced on my iPhone. Thanks

Hi, just want to let you know that I'm not an expert but I'll try my best to help you out.
So I tried to change my password before I replied here to test it out and it just updated my password and I'm still logged in on all of my devices.

Edit: Sorry I forgot to say that I'm an android user so I don't know if it'll be the same with iOS.

When you change your password you will get logged out of your other devices. If you want to reset your password you can do so here.

This shouldn’t interfere with your local files but if it does, you can always get them back following the steps provided in this support article.

I moved to another country and changed my password, but still, everytime my ex turns on the car stereo, in that country, he hijacks whatever I am listening to at the moment. Figure that out...

Hi @b828305,

Thank you for posting on the Community, and welcome!

Sometimes changing the password isn't enough to get somebody else out of your account.

In this case, please head to your Account Overview, scroll to the bottom and click on the option "Sign Out Everywhere", this will close your account from every device it was connected to.
