My Question or Issue

The video format of the JRE podcast is not available on my iphone nor on my windows PC. I have tried “clean reinstalling” the Spotify app several times but it hasn’t worked. Is the video region locked? If not then how can I get access to it?

The video should be available for the JRE episodes on desktop and mobile, could you let me know if you’re still having trouble with this?

If you are, can you let me know if you've already tried to log out > restart your device > log back in? It's also a good idea to try a clean reinstall to clear any old files that might be causing issues (this is different from standard reinstall).

Are you able to see video formats on other podcasts?

If you aren't, I'm thinking maybe because Spotify launched in your country recently, the feature may still be unavailable.

Yup. That’s the case here. Spent most of yesterday in a back and forth with the Spotify customer service team, who were quite eager to solve the problem as soon as possible and tried providing as many solutions as possible to be honest.

Ultimately however, they realized that JRE video is region locked and will try to get it implemented in the future. All is not lost though, According to NordVPN, I now live in Australia!

Video episode are not available for all regions. The clean reinstall won’t make a difference.
