Spotify APP on IOS pausing

I am experiencing an issue where about ten seconds into a song playing the spotify app or web player ( on google chrome) are stopping songs. Trying to restart the app, the song, or switch to a new track does not usually remedy the issue. I have tried both updating my phone and the spotify app, clearing my web browser, restarting my phone and redownloading the app and none of these are helping to solve the issue. I'm super frustrated since i've been using spotify for years and have never had this issue before. What is going on and how can this be fixed?
