My Question or Issue

Hey,

so some how I added a local file to my liked songs while it wasn’t on my phone, and now it won’t show up. What can I do to resolve this?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

Do you mean that the song is greyed out or entirely missing from your Liked Songs? If it's the former, we'd recommend to first remove it from that playlist. Afterwards, in both scenarios, could you give the steps here a go and perform a clean reinstall of the app across your devices? They are more thorough than a regular reinstall and make sure that no corrupted files remain that might be the reason for such behavior.

Then you can start the whole process of importing your local files from the beginning using the instructions in this guide. It's a good idea this time to do it over another internet connection, e.g. a mobile hotspot, if that's an option.

Hey,
How long do local files usually take to show on iPhone, bc mine aren't? I've done a clean reinstall and so far they won't show up.

Is the song playable on your PC? If that's the case, once it's downloaded on your phone it should be instantly playable.

On which device did you perform a clean reinstall? Did you remove the local files from your playlist and re-import them again using the steps above? The more info we have on the exact troubleshooting steps you've went through and the outcome, the quicker we'll be able to help.
