My Question or Issue

When I’m playing a podcast and leave the Spotify app, go to a different app, and return to Spotify, Spotify freezes. I have to close Spotify and reopen it for it to start working so I can keep listening to my podcast. This is the first day this has happened and it keeps happening. I’ve tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it and that didn’t work so I’m at a loss. I hope this all helps.

Could you make sure to perform a clean reinstall with the steps described on this page?

Afterwards check if Spotify has a permission to use the background app refresh on your iPhone as described here. Also make sure to have the battery saving mode on the phone off. More on that here.

Does the same happen with a different account on your device?
