Volume loud upon connection

I frequently switch between Spotify in my car and with headphones. When in my car I leave the volume at 100%. The downside to this is when reopening Spotify with headphones plugged in, it plays a half second or so before re-logging in and pausing. This has more than once meant 100% volume playing straight into my ears.

It isn't difficult to turn down the volume before leaving my car, but I think it would be an easy bug fix to eliminate this half-second blip of audio when reopening the mobile app.

What sort of device are you using here? iPhone, Android phone, so on?

Probably would have been smart of me to include that in the original post. I'm using Spotify for iPhone. I've never used the Android app so I'm not sure if it appears cross-platform.

Same problem here. Whenever I open spotify on my iPhone4 I have 100% volume. It's especially annoying while in the office or quiet environment. Is there a way to turn down the volume before (and not after) playing the music? I didn't figure that out yet.
