Not playing when offline

My Question or Issue

I cannot play downloaded songs when offline. When i tap the play button, it changes to pause button, but nothing happened - app reports, that playback is in progress, but time is not running and song is not playing. No matter whether phone is not connected to internet or Spotify is in offline mode only. Tried to reinstall the app, but it is still the same. The same songs are playing when the phone is online (and Spotify not switched to offline mode).

Version 8.7.55.382 on iOS 15.6

In this case, we recommend you to start off with a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device. By doing that the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

Once you've done that, since this could be related to the quality you've been downloading music, make sure to set it as normal. To check it, go to Settings > Audio Quality > Download > if not, set it to Normal. Try to download again and let us know how it goes.
