My Question or Issue

I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro Max and I also use a Macbook Air just in case it’s any help. Excuse my crudeness but I have tried literally every solution I could find. From uninstalling and reinstalling the app on both my macbook and iphone, I’ve tried recreating multiple playlists, I’ve restarted both macbook and iphone a multitude of times, both are on the same connection, I’ve tried downloading the files while my phone is connected by wired to my macbook, I’ve went out of my way to get an excess of free space, I’ve made sure that spotify has access to local networks,(despite me certainly already having enough) and yet despite all of these factors I still can not download local files to my phone. I’m at a loss for options and a lack of patience. Regardless of whatever the answer may be; Thank You.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

The way local files work has changed not a long time ago. Basically, the synchronization between files from PC and your mobile devices over the network isn't supported at the moment. Your own audio files, that you want to play within the app on mobile, need to be physically present on the particular device's storage. So you'd need to copy them to your mobile. Check also that the setting for discovering Local files on that particular device is toggled on in your Spotify app. For more info, we suggest that you take a look at this article.

This is absolutely miserable and still doesn't make sense. Totally pointless.
