my spotify can’t playing together when open shopee

i dont know why, i can’t play song when i open shopee or others e commers. the song automatic stop. so i must quit from shopee for listening the song 🥲 it’s really bad. i already remove and installed spotify many times, but still same.

Hey there @feliciatammy,

Thanks for the post.

Please check if there is any audio enabled for those ecommerce apps. Spotify will stop playing if another app plays audio from some content or an advertisement. You can check this in the in-app settings and in your iOS app settings for each app. If you disable the app audio, Spotify should play fine.

Still doesn’t work. I’ve tried to turn off the auto-play video previews on shopee settings accessibility too but it didn’t work.

I’m also running into the same issue. Whenever I open apps like Shopee or other e-commerce apps on my iPhone, any music I’m playing on Spotify just stops automatically. It’s really frustrating because I have to completely quit the app just to keep listening. I’ve tried reinstalling Spotify multiple times as well, but it hasn’t solved the problem. I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro Max with iOS 16.1, Free plan, Indonesia, and it seems like this is happening consistently. Hoping someone knows a fix or a workaround for this!

Thanks for letting us know about this!

Certain power-saving modes or content restrictions might override app-specific permissions. In that case, ensure Low Power Mode is off, as it automatically disables background activity. To check that you can go to Settings, then Battery and then Low Power Mode. Check also the Screen Time Restrictions. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Background App Activities. Ensure this is set to Allow. If none of that works try following these steps:

Open Settings.
Go to General > Background App Refresh.
Ensure the master toggle at the top is set to Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi & Cellular Data.
Scroll down the list and verify the toggle next to Spotify is turned On (green).

Lastly, disabling the Canvas feature in the Spotify app under Settings > Playback can help solve some playback issues when the screen locks.
