“Hide” button not working

I don’t really like Katy Perry’s newer songs so I tried to hide one of them when it started to play when I was listening to my “Suggested Songs” playlist. I included a video where I try pressing on the button multiple times to no avail. Is it possible for artists to pay Spotify to make it so users cannot hide some of their songs?

Thanks for the post.

This issue could be caused by some problem with the app itself. I'd recommend running a clean reinstall of your app, following this guide.

Artists on Spotify can't pay to make their content unskipable or unhideable.

As a workaround you can add the song to a new playlist and exclude that from your taste profile. This way you should stop getting so many recommendations of the song.
