ios app won’t play certain artist

My Question or Issue

spotify won’t play any songs by a specific artist, when i try from their page or within a playlist. i get no error message message on mobile, on desktop it just says “spotify can not play artist at this time” and can not add them to queue.

i was able to play songs by them earlier this morning (about 6 hours ago)

i have checked - i do NOT have this artist blocked on mobile or desktop or ipad. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and restarted my phone.

the only answers i seem to be able to find are that the artist must be blocked, but again, i checked that and they are not blocked on any of my devices.

logging in/out initially worked, but now it’s back to not playing the artist at all.

Hey, there @MakahBehr! Thanks for posting here in the Community!

We understand that you already reinstalled the app, but I'd like to suggest these steps here:

Clear the app's cache from Settings > Storage.
Perform a clean reinstall of the Spotify app.
Check if you can play the artist from a different device or the Web Player.

If these steps don't help, can you send us a screenshot of the error message you're getting when trying to play the artist?
