Unable to switch devices while using a speaker

My Question or Issue

When I have music playing from an Echo Dot (Alexa device), the devices page cuts off the section where I can pick to switch to another device, including the “This Phone” option, meaning it is literally fully impossible to switch to headphones from my speaker without just waiting for it to eventually disconnect if I pause.
The attached pictures show the screen as it displays, as well as scrolled up as far as possible to show where the “my device” option is visible but unable to be selected, and the setting that one of the very large boxes links to, which is already enabled.

Thanks for posting this thread and for the included screenshots!

If you've scrolled the devices menu up as much as possible, but it's not fully revealing the other available device(s) so you can switch, I recommend giving the app a clean reinstall as it can help resolve different performance issues. You can follow the steps here which also include clearing the corrupted cache.

One more step that you can try to test if it'll make a difference in Spotify is to adjust the text size on your iPhone by going to Settings on the device > Display & Brightness > Text Size and toggling it to the left so it becomes smaller.

After that, you may need to log out > back in so that the change takes effect.
