Music pausing when turning phone on

My Question or Issue

When I turn my phone on, my music pauses. Like when I go to check the time it pauses and it’s DRIVING me insane. This is such a new issue. Any ideas?

Does this happen when your phone is connected to an external device, for example Bluetooth earbuds? Have you tried switching the internet connection to see if that makes a difference? It's also a good idea to exclude the Spotify app from any Battery optimization software (if you have such installed).

I has also started happening to me ever since i upgraded to iOs 18, I have no idea why it’s happening but it’s really starting to get in my nerves.

Hey folks,

Could you try performing a clean reinstall of the app? This will rule out any potential issues with corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify. I'm not that familiar with iOS, but it's worth checking the app/system settings of your iPhone to see if there's something that may be causing this.
