30 minutes of uninterrupted music not working

For the past few days the 30 minutes of add free music has not been working. I keep getting the “Watch this short video to get 30 minutes of uninterrupted listening” and then nothing would happen. I wouldn’t even get the video for said 30 minutes. I’ve tried the help feature that Spotify has, and none of the solutions I was given had worked. I’ve been unable to find a single person who has had this same problem, even on the internet. I don’t know if it’s just my device that’s being weird for some reason, but it would be nice to just get a solution that would actually work, or at least somebody else with this problem.

Hey there @Mr_Kitty123, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

You mentioned that you have tried different steps to solve this problem. Can you try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps? It's more thorough than a simple reinstall.

If you're still having trouble, can you let me know if this is an issue when you're streaming on a different device, if possible? You can also try creating a new test account here and see if the issue presents itself there. If it doesn't, I'll suggest steps on how to transfer content from one account to another.

I'm curious I don't have premium so I get the odd commercial that says thank you for listening now please enjoy 30 minutes of interruption free music... but every 2 to 3 songs I get commercials.... I think the commercial should be removed or actually give us 30 mins of uninterrupted music! Just a thought 😀

Make the '30 minute uninterrupted' reward for watching ads actually *be* 30 minutes instead of one interrupted song. I get that ads are necessary and I don't mind them, but telling me I have a half- hour break and not fulfilling that offer is disingenuous and irritating.

I was promised 30 minutes, but got an ad after 1 freaking song. I wasn't minimizing the ad or even touching my device. About to uninstall after i go through my playlist once.

The display that there will be no interruption for 30 minutes after the ad is sometimes not true. After this ad, one song is played and another ad is displayed immediately. Please leave the app or skip

Hey there @i2da!

I just wanted to remind you that It’s important to keep the video ad in focus and avoid navigating to other apps, browsers, or anything else.

Also, make sure not to accidentally click the “No, thanks” button when prompted to watch the ad.

It would also be worth trying a clean reinstall by following these steps to see if it makes any difference.

I got an ad saying that I was getting a 30 minute ad break and a song played after that. Right after that song played I got an ad. If it’s a glitch please fix it if not then just take the 30 minute ad break away if you’re not actually going to give it to us.

While Spotify doesn't stop ad-supported music on Premium accounts, some podcasts may contain ads, sponsored messages, or endorsements read by the hosts.

These ad choices during podcasts are determined by the content administrators, not Spotify itself, and it is not possible to remove them in any subscription.

thank you sm! but its not poscast related. i'll just be listening to my playlist, or start to, and itll give me an ad, say i have thirty minutes uninterrupted, and then play more ads. and then it will go as normal (play a couple songs, a couple ads, yk not premium spotify stuff) ((this is just for more information, not arguing lol)) thank you again though

Same, spotify is deceiving and should just eliminate the 30 minute ad-free listening at this point. It's an infuriating lie on their end and so many people complaining about this issue and no fixing in sight?? Trash! Do better Spotify! YT music or Pandora will be supreme to spotify's dumbass games they play on people.

I agree, either make 30 minutes of uninterrupted listening real or remove it. No matter how much targeted pressure Spotify puts me under with these ads, I will never pay because of them. I cannot be marketed to in this way. I'm more likely to remove the app and find another provider to listen to. I don't think this has anything to do with the app, the operating system, or the operator, I think this is Spotify deliberately trying to force casual listeners to pay up for a subscription.

Am I seeing ads that 30 MINUTES of uninterrupted ads on Spotify when I'm listening to my music?

I have experiencing ads on spotify that i will listening my music 30 minutes of an interrupted ads? whoever is this that the ads on spotify might begin its unbearable. I guess i can cancel on subscriptions but i'm already i'm not using a premium because it's too expensive... I guess it's too much. All right, i can cancel right now.

They give me more ads on Spotify but songs played after playing but it cuts off the song you get an ad.
