Songs skip limit

Hi I was wondering why I am only getting 6 skips per hour on Spotify and why when I open my app and go to play a song I can only listen to it once and most of the time with I go to play a song it plays a song from a artist and not the song I wanted and if I don’t like it I go to skip it but I don’t have any skips left so

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Sounds like you're using the free version of Spotify on your phone and there has been some recent updates with the free mobile experience. You're now able to:

Pick and play any song you want.
Search for and play your favorite tracks instantly.
Share you tracks with friends and play them.

I haven't been able been able to skip a single track in TWO days and I would Spotify to justify this

Wish your algorithm would actually get to know me so I’m not force closing the app to go to YouTube when you play me 15 songs I never want to hear and only sporadically play anything I like…. Doesn’t make it worth trying to upgrade. I like when a system makes suggestions but come on why is it always mostly artists I don’t listen to/like or have never heard of

This is a horrible update. We pay for enough apps as is. You guys have apparently reinstalled this update since this thread because I was about to listen to music and skip any songs I wanted and use the app freely for the free plan for months now up until literally yesterday. I wake up today and can’t listen to the songs I pick on the app, nor can skip as many songs as I want on the web version without it saying that I can only skip six songs per hour. You guys have completely taken the app from us free users. Spotify is now no different from Apple Music this is unfair.

Does skip limit still works for free users? I can able to skip unlimited songs in free plan. Can you please name a few tracks or playlist which has skip limit?

I **bleep**ing hate that because I am forced to watch something to watch the song that I don’t want to and please can you increase the amount whoever is the owner and I want to delete this immediately I don’t like it increase it I or delete it

So I was just listening to Spotify and I got Smart Shuffled and I kept skipping till I got this limit notice I haven’t gotten in a while, I couldn’t even re-select a song from an album, did Spotify lift the limit for a while or has it always been there coz I swear I’ve skipped more than 6 times before and I’ve never gotten the limit before. Now I’m being forced to listen to nonsense I don’t even like. Smart Shuffle is horrible honestly

You just have to wait an hour if it dosnt work try resetting Spotify and/or resetting your phone! Hope this helps!!!

Spotify is just a money hungry company that is slowly taking away features to force users to pay for their app. Absolutely absurd and greedy! I remember using Spotify back in 2021 where the layout looked much nicer and you could skip songs as much as you wanted. Since then, it’s just gotten worse. Listening to Spotify on mobile is a horrible experience as a free user, you shouldn’t need to pay to listen to an playlist in order, or to put songs on repeat, or to skip songs, or to listen to 7 ads after every song. Can you hear how ridiculous this all sounds?? Is it that hard to satisfy all the users on this app other than the ones paying premium?!

Bring back basic human rights

I am speaking on behalf of the spotify users and we want our basic human rights back. We the people deserve our music to be skippable and unlimited. Using this app as of recently, i havnt been able to put those rights in action making me either want to delete this app or never touch it again and switch over to Apple Music. Sincerely, Cooper
