Fellow Spotify listeners/user/creators please help.

I use the free version of Spotify on my IPad. The version is supposed to let you make playlists, but the only thing it lets me do to a song is send it to someone. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong so I went to settings. Nothing there helped as the settings were lacking several features. Several other people have the same free version of Spotify on their same iPad, but the layout is completely different and they have much more settings and options to make playlists and add songs to that playlist. It’s especially frustrating because every once in a while my Spotify will have the normal layout and have these options, but it’s only happened once or twice and doesn’t last.

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Sounds like you're using the Web Player in a browser instead of the Spotify app. In general, the Web Player offers access to less features compared to the app.

You can download the Spotify app from the App Store - just make sure your device meets the minimum requirements.
