Spotify Loses Track of Podcast Position

My Question or Issue

When I listen to partial lengths of podcasts, Spotify doesn't remember my spot and jumps back to parts I have already listened to. This also happens when switching from air pods to car Bluetooth.

Are you able to consistently reproduce the issue? If yes, can you please send us a short screen recording of how things look on your end? If no, does it happen with specific podcasts? Are you playing th episodes in a playlist or from the podcast page?

In the meantime, please try the following:

Check if the same happens when listening in the web player and on a different device.
Log in with a different account (from a friend or a family member) and test again.
Clean reinstall the app.

It is intermittent. It’s not one specific podcast- they are played from the podcast page not a playlist.

I tried clean reinstalling the app and that didn’t help.

Does it happen often, and are you able to follow specific steps to reproduce the behavior? For example, you mention it happens when switching from your earphones to the Bluetooth on your car; does it happen only when you do that, or does it happen no matter what device you're listening from? And did you notice if this started happening after an update or recent change?

And would it be possible for you to send a video recording of this behavior? You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.
