Could you try a clean install of the Spotify app? It tends to fix most such issues easily. Check out the guide here.

If that does not help, please share a screen recording of you trying to toggle the shuffle mode. This will help me take a closer look at what's wrong.

I am having the same issue and a clean install did not fix it. When I click shuffle the regular shuffle and smart shuffle options come up. I click regular shuffle but it doesn't turn green. So I try again, even with smart shuffle it doesn't turn green or shuffle my playlists when clicking play. After that it won't allow me to click shuffle again and stayed grey. I've also tried turning off smart shuffle from the playback settings.

I see @OceanEyes77. Could you try the same on another platform, like the web player or the desktop app? That will help in narrowing it down to the device.

Hi Amay, I’m not OP but my spotify is doing the same and I did the clean download or whatever it’s called and it popped up and didn't let me click anything then immediately went back to what it was doing
