My Question or Issue

Spotify has always played songs when I search for a specific song. Now it won’t. I search for a song. Spotify pulls up the song, but plays something different.

This part of the site isn’t working either. I keep selecting the ‘not a robot’ option and hitting submit and the site won’t submit this post.

The submit button finally worked after refreshing a couple times. Before was unresponsive.

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to clarify the expected behaviour.

On-demand listening to selected tracks is something that isn't available on mobile when using the free service. While it may play the song you pick the first few times, eventually you will only be able to shuffle playlists or albums and this is the intended behaviour. When on free, you can use the desktop app, where selecting what to play is still possible. As for why it seemingly used to work before as you claimed, perhaps these were the initial tries and perhaps you were only getting previews, which is again to be expected on the free service.
