Cannot Remove Apple Watch as Offline Device

My Question or Issue

Hi, I recently upgraded to a new Apple Watch. However, in the Spotify app under “Download to Device,” both the new and the old Apple Watch still appear — and they’re not labeled differently, so I can’t tell which is which.

I tried logging out from all devices via my Spotify account settings, but that didn’t remove the old Apple Watch from the list.

Is there a way to remove or de-register an old Apple Watch from the “Download to Device” section in the Spotify app?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

To start investigating this behavior, would you mind confirming if you still have access to your older Watch? If so, we'd recommend removing the Spotify app from that Watch to see if it makes any difference. It's also worth deleting any downloaded content you may have there just in case.

If the issue persists, and if you haven't tried it yet, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on your iPhone by following the steps mentioned in this article.

Lastly, it would be great if you could include a screenshot where we can see both devices listed after the previous processes to take a better look at the issue.

What I'd recommend is using the "Last active" info to differentiate between the two devices: based on the screenshot you've sent, one appears to have been used 10 hours ago, while the other - a couple of days ago.

Otherwise, it's worth noting that the Manage downloads list will show devices which you've used in the last 30 days - when the duration expires, they will automatically disappear. It's not currently possible to remove individual devices prematurely, but we appreciate your feedback on the matter as it may ultimately end up paving the way for our broader user experience.
