The app crashes with the new ‘Mix’ feature

My Question or Issue

While using the new 'Mix' feature on my own playlists, if the next song is unavailable (either because it was removed from Spotify or it’s a local file added from another device), the transition doesn’t skip the song and the app crashes. When I use the 'Play Next' button, it correctly skips through the playlist until it finds an available song. The crash only occurs if I wait for the song to end and let the 'Mix' feature handle the transition.

We've checked on our end but couldn't reproduce the issue. Can you try some basic troubleshooting steps like logging out and back in and clean reinstalling the app?

If the behavior persists, let us know your current app version and send us a short screen recording so we can investigate further.

Hey there!

My app version is 9.0.80.1341

After reinstalling the app, the issue is still present on my device. I also
found another important detail: if you restart the app after turning on the
'Mix' feature, it works. However, if you just turn on 'Mix' without
restarting, the bug appears. In the attached video, you can first see a
correct transition, then the bug occurs. After the song *Deceiver*, there
is an unavailable song. I skipped to the end, and the app crashed.

It seems that you're streaming to an external speaker. Does the issue persist if the playback is directly from the iPhone?

If the issue doesn't persist after restarting the app, it's possible that there's an issue with the network connection and loading/streaming. Could you test with another Wi-Fi network or mobile data (shared via hotspot from another phone)? Additionally, you could turn on Offline Mode to see how the app would behave. Keep in mind that you'd first need to download the Mixed playlist.

Lastly, try toggling off and on both the Local Files and Show unplayable songs settings for a refresh.
