How do i avoid songs stopping while using apps

So i play geometry dash on mute while listening to custom music (which i use spotify for) and the song stops as soon as i open the app.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Can you try a clean reinstall on the Spotify App? Can you also try logging out and back in? Can you also tell me if you leave the Spotify app on or you close it?
