Where has the What’s New feature gone?

On the latest version of Spotify on my iPad, it is no longer showing the What’s New option under my profile. This very usefully listed the new releases every day. Instead there is a new feature Listening Stats, which although somewhat interesting, does not give the same functionality at all. Now to find out new releases, I will have to wait until Friday each week for my release radar, assuming that hasn’t been messed around with as well. Please bring back the What’s New feature.

I second this, this is where I update myself on the artists and podcasts that I follow. Spotify, I don’t care about your silly feed feature. Bring back the new releases tab.

Spotify is always exploring new ways to provide listeners the best possible listening experience, and sometimes that means retiring certain features to make space for new ones.

You can keep up with your favorite shows and music on the Following Feed. In your home page, select Music/Podcasts tag > Following tag. When selected both (or Podcasts + Following), it will show you the latest releases of your followed artists/shows and it should look like this:

We appreciate your feedback. Spotify will continue to invest in features and experiences that make it easier for listeners to stay connected to the shows they love.

Hope this clarifies things a bit. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.

I also agree with this. It’s absolutely awful. That was the intuitive place for all recent podcasts so go. There’s wasted categories there people don’t use such as your updates. Please put it back this is annoying! Keep missing podcast updates

Makes some sense to move it to its new location. But where has all the historical new release stuff gone? I often go back a week or two to catch up on stuff but that’s all apparently vanished.

Bring it back!!! I used to check this every day to see new releases from the artists i follow, this app sucks without it.

this is a downgrade in every possible way. it replaced a clearly labeled, easy to find, easy to access feature and moved it somewhere so arcane that i had to go to the community forum for the first time in my life to figure out what happened to it. trust me, everyone just leaves their homepage on "all" and completely ignored all the other options. bring back What's New.

I second the above poster.

It is not intuitive and it is not working at all for me.

When I click on Music+Following, it just goes dark and then it says "This is not working. Try refreshing the page". I refresh and it does not work anyway. Tried a thousand times, so I guess it is just bugged. Please look into this as it was my most used feature.

Your app is just getting constantly worse and worse, cluttered with a bunch of stuff I'm not interested in and now you remove one of the few good features? Yeah I think I'm out at this point, time to me to a different service.

Hi,

I also noticed this morning the ‘what’s new’ page from Spotify on my phone is missing.

I used the feature religiously to keep up to date with new releases and it was pretty reliable in that sense.

Can you please direct me to where I can find the following feed? If this is just the homepage then that is disappointing as I don’t believe it’s as thorough as the ‘what’s new’ tab.

I’m very confused about this new update. I would go to “what’s new” every morning to check out the latest podcasts, new music. Now I don’t even know where to go, your workaround is awful. Please, just put it back.
