App not loading on iPhone

Today I’ve been trying to play any song. After a while I deleted it and reinstalled but it got worse. Nothing is loading at all now and there aren’t issues with my WiFi or my phone. Everything else is working fine. I’ve been trying to see if anybody else was dealing with this and I saw some reviews on the app saying Spotify was crashing for them too. I don’t know what’s going on but can someone help?

Thanks for reaching out!

We've received reports that similar behaviour can occur on iOS 26 due to an issue with how special characters in playlist names are read.

If your app can be opened from another device (e.g. the desktop app), as a workaround, I'd advise checking if your playlist names contain any characters which are out of the ordinary - emojis are one example of this. Remove them to see if that would make a difference when loading the app on the iPhone. In case it doesn't fix things up right away, try offloading and reinstalling the app.

Should the issue remain, let us know what your app version is, as well as if the issue has only recently come up (if it's just been noticeable today) and if any other devices of yours are affected.
