Trouble with syncing offline playlists

Hello, I'm sure that this has been answered before but I can't seem to find a solution. I want to sync my offline playlists to my Ipod but "only local files synced" keeps coming up. Can anybody help me?

What ipod do you have?

If it an iPod shuffle, classic, nano or mini then you can only use Spotify to sync local files to those devices, just like iTunes. There is more information here about that restriction.
