It might not be exactly the same issue, but you should try the workaround in this open bug tracker and see if that helps at all.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotify app as well as restarting my iPad. Still no success! Same blank white screen!

, if you haven't already. You may need to reset the ipad after changing the region format for it to work.
