Syncing weirdness

So, I downloaded a track to iTunes, imported it into spotify and then synced it, and I could play it on my phone and computer. But for some reason, when I tried to do it again with the same song, it wouldn't work. It got de-synced after a while for some reason and now I can't re-sync it. Does anyone have any clue as to why?

Does it work if you put spotify into online mode for a minute?

No, I have tried putting it offline, back to online, but it still will not play.

Just got it to work... It seems the track itself was corrupted and wouldn't be able to sync no matter what, so I added another track of the same song from iTunes and it would play.
