topic Volume Normalization in iOS (iPhone, iPad)

I recently switched my phone from a Droid X to an iPhone 5s. One difference I've noticed in Spotify is that songs between different albums are not normalized for volume in the iPhone 5s. Some songs are extremely loud and some are very quiet. Many months ago that was a problem also on the Droid X, but at some point they managed to fix it and songs were all at roughly the same volume. There was no selector switch for this effect as there is in the computer desktop version of Spotify. It was just automatically normalized. Is this going to be fixed in the iOS version?

It has been suggested as a new feature over on the Ideas Exchange if you want to add your vote there. I would imagine this might be related to the fact the android application has an equalizer and the iOS app doesn't.
