Problems Playing Some Tracks Offline

OK so I have a premium account with Spotify that I use with my iPhone 5

Ive created a playlist for all the tracks I want to listen to Offline which consists at the moment of 587 tracks.

Playing each track online is fine.

Yet when I flick the switch to play offline not all the tracks are selected.

Why is this?

And why wont they play on my iPhone?

Are any of the tracks in that playlist local files on your desktop Spotify?

Hi Peter,

Yes they are actually.

I also have iTunes on my laptop which has about 2000 tracks on my hard drive.

So of the tracks in my Spotify playlist could be those.

Is that a problem?

Have you synced them over to your phone by connecting your device and computer to the same WiFi network like outlined here?

Yes my iPhone and laptop are on the same WIFI

When I plugged the iPhone into the USB connection and select "Device" , I clicked on the IPhone app and it took me into iTunes and did all sorts of downloading and "Sending information through to iTunes"

I also have an iPad with Spotify which I connected as well and they seem to be in synch with each other as well!

I can now select something from my iPad and it will now play on my iPhone! (Which is great)

Looking on the iPad I can see the tracks that wont place offline are tracks in Spotify that have an arrow pointing down in a green circle?

What does that mean?

Is there anything I can do?

What a nightmare. I just want to play all songs offline!!!
