Volume changes automatically

How do I stop my ipad from automatically increasing/decreasing the volume during playback? I've looked at other posts similar to this but the instructions are all to help with MAC/PC issues I can't find the equivalent instructions for the ipad.

Is the actual volume changing or is it the volume of the content? Unfortunately, volume normalization for Spotify isn't supported in the mobile apps like in the desktop client.

I think it's the voume of the content, but i'm not 100% sure I know how to tell the difference. It's strange as I don't have this problem when I use spotify on my kindle fire, it's only an issue for me with my ipad.

Android might have an active Equalizer or Audio effects on it which isn't available on iOS either. 😞

Thanks for your help, although I'm disappointed if the answer is that there's no way of fixing this! It's not a cheap service so I feel it should play at the volume I want it to, it's not what I want if the sound keeps oscillating!
